The Dutch Church, rebuilt after WWII, is the oldest Dutch Reform Church in the world. Dutch Protestants, as exiles, were granted the right to worship by Edward VI in 1550. Exhibiting Art & Ornament with the Dutch Church underlines Gibbons upbringing, early training and influences in Rotterdam, especially the Dutch Renaissance art he experienced.
